Dr. Howard Frumkin is a physician and epidemiologist whose esteemed career has bridged academia, government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector. He is professor emeritus of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and the former dean at the University of Washington School of Public Health located in Seattle, Washington. He is author or co-author of over 300 scientific journal articles and chapters, and his ten books include Planetary Health: Protecting Nature to Protect Ourselves and Making Healthy Places: Designing and Building for Health, Well-Being and Sustainability.
