Description
Join us for UNature’s first conference, a free public event exploring how nature can transform mental health, education, and urban planning. Through keynote talks, interactive panels, and hands-on workshops, we will explore some of the most vitally important questions of our time, with a focus on research-backed solutions and community action. Be part of the conversation— let’s connect and re-imagine a healthier and more sustainable future together.
Day 2 of the conference explores what’s missing in environmental education today.
A key challenge lies in the psychological gap between knowing about something and truly caring about it—a disconnect that can hinder meaningful engagement. Our expert panel will bring together leaders from education, psychology, policy, and industry to challenge assumptions, re-imagine approaches, and spark new ways of thinking about how we inspire collective understanding and action.

Environmental Education - The Missing Link
JULIE SCHADECK, General Manager at UNature, Certified Nature (Re)Connection Guide
Despite growing awareness of environmental challenges, traditional environmental education often overlooks a crucial element: our emotional and sensory connection to nature. This missing link—the deep, personal relationship with the natural world—is increasingly fading. Yet research shows that nature re-connection is not just beneficial—it’s essential for driving both individual well-being and collective environmental action. Without it, sustainability efforts risk becoming abstract, disconnected from the very experiences that inspire care and commitment. Because, ultimately, we protect what we love. In her keynote, UNature General Manager Julie Schadeck invites us to rethink environmental education and rediscover the power of connection to shape a healthier future for both people and planet.
