NATURE FOR ALL.
WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
“I will never again look at nature in the same way.”
— John M.
Nature (Re)Connection Participant
More Than 1000 People Accompanied
Whether they are young adults from disadvantaged environments, people with visual deficiencies or employees fighting burnout, we’ve accompanied over a thousand people from different ages, gender, socio-economic status, environments, cultures and professions. And we could never have done it without the numerous volunteers that have helped us along the way.
More Than 4300 Research Studies
Our research center holds a body of more than 4300 scientific research studies today, which all demonstrate the physiological, psychological and cognitive impact that nature has on the human being.
In October 2023, we hosted the third edition of the World Conference on Forests for Public Health
We are the co-editors of the book titled Réconcilier : vers une identité environnementale, published in 2023
53 Nature (Re)Connections
Financial analysts walked barefoot in the forest for the first time, construction workers felt the effect that nature had on them, CEO’s put nature on their list of priorities, teachers learned how to positively talk about nature to their students… Those are just a couple of the impacts that our Nature (Re)Connection program has had on its participants.
Projects in 6 Countries
Our activities (courses and training programs, conferences, scientific studies, Nature (Re)Connection and other workshops) span multiple continents and countries thanks to the support of our partners. We currently have ongoing projects in Canada, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy.
76 Course Graduates
With 76 people having accomplished our Ecoleader course we have created a real community of like-minded, passionate and engaged people with various nationalities who come from different fields of study and professions: envrionmental engineers, nature guides, social workers, nurses, forest owners, psychologists, therapists, architects, teachers, etc.
7 Cohorts of Students
Since we started offering our classes in 2020, we’ve welcomed 5 dynamic cohorts of students from all over teh world. They’ve joined us from Canada, Luxembourg, Italy, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Finland, Togo, Senegal and the United States. We offer sessions twice a year, in Spring and in Fall.
12 Certified Guides
Today, our certified guides lead people aged 12-87, in 6 countries and 5 languages through our Nature (Re)Connection program. Many adaptations of this program have been made thanks to their help and expertise of our guides, allowing us to offer this program to people from social environments that are often excluded.
"It’s an unforgettable sensation that I haven’t felt in years.”
— Fadhila, Nature (Re)Connection Participant
18 Projects and Joint Actions
Everything starts with an idea or a need. We’ve partnered up with multiple people and organizations to realize a variety of projects and activities across the field: reconnecting high school students to nature, training entrepreneurs, consulting different ministries, organizing an international congress, writing a manual for teachers, publishing and co-editing articles and books: we work tirelessly to create a new culture of the living world, a new approach to nature that encompasses the human, the cognitive and the sensitive.
Conferences given in 15 Countries
We regulalrly organize conferences, webinars and interviews about the topic at heart of all our work: our relation to nature. The great thing about this topic is that it concerns everyone and it can be integrated anywhere: whether its biophilic design, the reconciliation between humans and nature, talking to students about nature in a positive way, the impacts of nature at the office or the importance of nature for our mental health. We have put nature back at the center of the concerns of hundreds of decision-makers in education, politics, business, and health care.
Stories and Testimonies
The Nature of our Impact
3 Good Health and Well-Being
We believe that nature plays an essential role for our health and well-being. We thus advocate for nature to be considered as a public health tool. With that in mind, we have hosted the third edition of the World Conference on Forests for Public Health in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Sherbrooke, have spoken at the first edition at the Helathcare Week in Luxembourg and been accredited by the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg.
10 Reduced Inequalities
Research shows that contact with nature can significantly reduce social inequalities. Together with INDIRE we intervened in a disadvantaged school in Florence (Italy), with the RBC Center for Mental Health Expertise at the University of Sherbrooke (Qc, Canada) we carried out a program for all schools in Quebec, we’ve supported 300 high school students in Luxembourg, organized an outing in the forest for people with visual impairments together with INCA and are working on access to nature for people with disabilities.
4 Quality Education
Our courses and programs are open to everyone no matter their origin, age, race or background. To ensure that everyone who wishes to take our courses can do so, we offer stipends for every session to people experiencing financial difficulties that allow them to take the classes at no cost.
11 Sustainable Cities and Communities
Urban greening is necessary, but in many cases insufficient. Too often, it is still thought of only in terms of global warming and cleaner air. But we believe that we need to go further, following the example of a number of cities around the world: cities that encourage daily contact with nature through the senses and a rekindling of our relationship with the natural world. We advise ministries and municipalities along these lines.
17 Partnerships for the Goals
We are building alliances with organizations and universities around the world (Europe, North America, Africa, South America) to create a common voice for reconciliation with nature.
