Nature (Re)Connection in: French
I never imagined that my childhood spent outside, running in the fields, playing in the moss with snails and insects, jumping from stone to stone in streams or climbing trees, would shape my universe to such an extent, both personally and professionally.
As a young adult, I sometimes forgot this connection to the living. During My 21+ year career in improving human resources and corporate trainings I witnessed firsthand the effects that stress, pressure and mental overload had on me, as well as the managers and teams I worked with, and how hard it was for leaders to find lasting solutions.
In 2016, armed with this personal and professional knowledge and the vision to find ways to prevent exhaustion and burnout, I trained to support entrepreneurs, students, parents, managers and teams, helping them increase their performance while finding consistency and balance.
Today, the Nature (Re)Connections that I guide in the forest allow participants to regain control over their psychological, cognitive and physical health. Above all though, I rejoice to see them marvel, explore different rhythms, rediscover their senses, lightness and confidence in the future.
Some questions for Catherine
When do you feel the need to reconnect with nature? I need to feel connected to nature on a daily basis, by touching the small pebble on my desk, through the breath of the wind or the simple sight of a tree. It is this connection that allows me to keep my energy and my balance. I especially appreciate the return to basics that comes with camping in the wild or staying in a bivouac near a water point : taking the time to listen, to smell, to make a fire, to take shelter, to observe...
What natural object do you keep at home? I like to find beautiful pebbles during my walks and travels. I leave them everywhere, I take some home, and I often give some as gifts! They are all fascinating and unique, like the humans who cross my path.
If you were a natural element, would you be...? Why choose ? Sometimes I would like to be the breath of the wind rocking the leaves of the trees and caressing the tall grass; sometimes the sun, which warms and soothes; or the water of the river, clear and refreshing; or a tree, for its sense of balance and its symbiotic relationship with the forest.
