Nature (Re)Connection in: French & English
Having grown up in the countryside, I’ve always been an explorer and a contemplative person. From the age of 5, I would ride my bike, going a little farther each time to discover what was hidden behind the bushes or at the end of a path. I spent hours in a large willow tree at the back of the garden, where I would observe the fields, listen to the wind playing in the leaves, or lie in the tall grass watching the clouds drift by. There, I felt an extraordinary sense of safety and timelessness. Throughout my life, nature has drawn me like a magnet – for sports, exploration, reflection, renewal, and simply to be.
As a psychologist with a career in human resources, I felt a deep desire to return to my roots and guide people toward greater well-being in a fast-paced world. Sharing this deep affection for nature has become a mission for me. With every nature reconnection in the forest, I love seeing people rediscover their relationship with nature, witness their sense of wonder and enthusiasm, and commit to experiencing the forest in a different way than before.
Some questions for Isabel
What natural object do you keep in your home?
I always have plenty of natural treasures around me, whether in my office, my car, or at home. Stones, branches, pieces of bark that I’ve found on my walks… It’s my way of keeping the forest close to me.
What brings you comfort in nature?
It’s hard to find the right words, but it’s that feeling of being alone—not isolated, but free from judgment, from watchful eyes, and from countless tasks. It’s a sensation of coming home, a sense of safety, where I can simply be myself.
What natural element fascinates you the most?
For me, it's the moss in the forest. Its vivid green color, mixed with brown and rusty orange, is captivating. I love feeling its softness under my fingers, breathing in its earthy scent, and observing its tiny details. Moss is filled with microcosmic life, offering a fascinating universe to explore. It invites me to lie down and enjoy its gentle touch.
