Nature (Re)Connection in: French

Meditating in front of a fire, delighting in a starry insomnia.
In the morning, listening to the coffee pot sing.

Picking blackberries, staining hands and feet with their juice,
Coming home dirty, knees marked by the trails.

Getting drunk on damp moss, breathing in the scent of wet earth,
When the rain perfumes the whole forest.

Getting lost in the wild, daring a freezing swim,
And laughing… It will take time to thaw out.

This is all part of what makes me a guide in (re)connecting with nature. But not only that… A curious bird with many hats, mother to a large tribe, I have been working in the artistic field for 20 years. In 2017, I returned to my first loves: nature and human connections. I trained, became an Outdoor Guide (Plano Alto) and a nature facilitator with Buissonnier.ch. Since then, I have been guiding families, school groups, and businesses through immersive experiences at the heart of the living world.

In 2020, I took part in creating the Fondation Homme et Nature, which works to reconnect people with nature.

Today, as a guide in (Re)Connecting with Nature, I share my knowledge, but more than that, I seek to reveal beauty, rekindle a sense of wonder, and strengthen the connection to oneself, to others, and to nature.

A few questions for Diane…

Which sense instantly connects you to nature?
Smell. It’s actually one of my most important senses. Scents feed my imagination, connect me to memories, soothe or awaken me, and bring me joy.

What natural object do you keep at home?
I have plants (a lot), feathers (a lot), and heart-shaped stones (too many).

Nature at night, for you, is…
Sleeping outdoors. An extraordinary experience—one of the best ways, in my opinion, to reconnect with nature. To reclaim one’s rightful place, humbly, among all living beings.
